CLAT 2020 postponed again and last date for online applications extended to July 1st 2020
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2020) has been postponed yet again in light of the extended COVID-19 lockdown. The last date for online applications has now been extended to July 1st 2020.
President of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) and Vice-Chancellor of National Law Institute University (NLIU) Bhopal Prof V Vijayakumar confirmed the development to the Bar & Bench. He revealed that the fresh date for CLAT 2020 would be decided on July 1st 2020.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the NLU Consortium held today. The new date for the exam will be announced at the Consortium's next meeting.
CLAT 2020 was earlier scheduled to be held on June 21. The exam, conducted for entry into NLUs across the country, was initially postponed to May 24th 2020. It was originally slated to take place on May 10th 2020.
