Aligarh Muslim University Accredited by NAAC in 'A' grade having 13 Faculties viz. Agricultural Sciences, Arts, Commerce, Engineering & Technology, Law etc., each comprising of several Departments of Studies.

The Department of Law, Aligarh Muslim University is one of the oldest Department in India. The teaching of Law in AMU was introduced in the year 1883. Sir Syed Ahmad Khan, the Founder was greatly impressed by the Programme of Legal Education in British Universities. So he was very keen to have legal education on that pattern in AMU also.

Senior Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent examination with aggregate not less than 50% of the total marks.

OR

Bridge Course-Senior Secondary School Certificate from AMU with 50% marks in aggregate.

Note: Candidate should refer to ‘Allowed Courses’ under ‘Important Information & Rules’ to ascertain whether she/he is permitted to apply for the course of study.

Not more than 22 years as on 01st July in the year of admission.

Through Admission Test

There shall be one paper of 100 marks consisting of 100 objective type questions on:

Proficiency in English: 40 marks

Current Affairs/General Knowledge (with emphasis on legal issues): 40 marks

Reasoning and Aptitude: 20 marks

The Admission Test shall be held at Aligarh (U.P.), Kolkata (W.B.) & Kozhikode (Kerala).

Correction in particulars of Application Form is permissible on website only from 02-03-2020 to 07-03-2020. No corrections shall be permissible under any circumstances after this period.

Print from the website www.amucontrollerexams.com 1-2 weeks before the scheduled date of test. The Test Centre shall be as indicated on the Admit Card.
