ABOUT B.EL.ED PROGRAM

A 4 year  Bachelor in Elementary Education (B. El. Ed.) after 10+2 also makes the students eligible for appointment as elementary school teacher. Candidates who have completed 10+2 standard are eligible to pursue this course. The course develops 10+2 passed students into skilled and knowledgeable teachers (elementary level). The students also have to undergo a teacher internship that would extend a teaching experience under direct supervision. B.El.Ed. students are extended training in evaluating students’ academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, preparing progress reports, communicating with parents through conferences and other means, discussing students’ progress, interpreting the school program, and encouraging students to join extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations, and academic contests.

Eligibility Criteria 2019

• 10+2 passed (in any stream – Arts, Commerce or Science) or its equivalent is the minimum qualification required.

• 2-year diploma in Elementary Education

2. b) Practium Courses

ADMISSION PROCESS:

Reputed institutes follow merit based admission process. Majority of institutes conduct a common entrance test to select deserving candidates. Name/nature of entrance test may vary from one state to another. Few institutes are known to conduct private (institute-wise) entrance tests.
