CLAT 2024: Second Provisional Seat Allotment List Released

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a highly competitive entrance examination in India that serves as a gateway for admission into prestigious law universities across the country. Designed to assess the aptitude and skills of candidates aspiring to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate programs in law, CLAT covers various areas such as English, General Knowledge, Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Mathematics. The second seat allotment list was released by the Consortium of National Law University on 8th January 2024. Registered candidates can check their admission status by visiting the official website,  https://consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2024/second-list.html. Each National Law University has published it’s allotment list rank and category wise. Those who have been assigned a seat provisionally in the second list must complete the admission process (seat freezing and floating) by 12th January 2024.

Freeze Option Meaning

If the candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat, accepts it, and is not interested in participating in further rounds of seat allocation/ counselling, they may ‘Freeze’ the seat allocation

Float Option Meaning

If the candidate has not been allotted their first preference NLU and chooses to leave ‘open’ the possibility of getting a higher preference NLU seat they may choose the ‘Float’ Option

 

Steps to check CLAT Allotment List

  • Step 1: Go to the official website of the CLAT 2024- consortiumofnlus.ac.in
  • Step 2: Click on the exam title “CLAT 2024”
  • Step 3: On that page, students can find the merit list for both UG and PG for the year 2024
  • Step 4: Students can then check the rankings with their respective Roll No./Registration No.
