Success Mantra: Achieving top slot in DU LLB Examination is no small feat; accept our heartiest congratulations on your splendid success.
Kamlesh: Thank you very much and regards.

Success Mantra: In how many attempts have you achieved this success?
Kamlesh: First Attempt.

Success Mantra: 'Success is sweet; were you confident of your success with top ranks and how did you react to this news?
Kamlesh: Firstly, utter relief because when you put so much in to your preparation and you get rewarded, then certainly you get relieved that hard work has paid off. And yes, happiness. Entire family is joyful about it.

Success Mantra: Today, DU LLB Toppers are icons and lots of media coverage makes them popular. Before your success, what was your opinion about these toppers? Any particular success story which influenced your journey to this result?
Kamlesh: Of course, for DU LLB toppers are celebrities for DU LLB aspirants mainly. So, if someone is topping we want to be like them.
Yes, Sujata studied in the same institute ‘Success Mantra’ and when I saw that she had topped and that to in first attempt itself, it was a big motivation.

Success Mantra: At what point in time did you make up your mind to make a career in ‘Law or DU LLB’?
Kamlesh: I completed my graduation in Political Science Hons., but then in the second year of my college I started contemplating what actually am I doing? Where do I want to reach? So, I had this dream somewhere in mind that I wanted to make a bright career in Law.

Success Mantra: Was DU LLB your planned decision or your parents\' wish?
Kamlesh: Initially, this was a vague idea; but I was sure that there is something I want in my life and this is becoming like my goal. I would like to do it.

Success Mantra: Who is the pillar of your strength?
Kamlesh: My parents were very open to this idea. I am really thankful to them because they were like, “you wish to go for it, then go ahead.” My father is always supportive and no matter which career I choose. So I think, my father is my pillar of strength.

Success Mantra: You know very well, today that DU LLB is so tough, lots of students participate in it but only few can take admission in DU. Did you keep in mind some time-frame for the examination preparation and number of attempts?
Kamlesh: I was keen that my first attempt should be the best one. Thus, I had not even thought about any time frame. And I knew that DU LLB is not easy but my goal was clear to take admission in DU.

Success Mantra: Time-management is a key factor while making preparations as well as in examination papers, be it main Examination. How did you manage things?
Kamlesh: While preparing, I was juggling with my college exams, semester papers. I would say that a micro plan should be there for each day about time to contribute to various things. You have to manage time on a daily basis and track your time and at a point I made a chart for keeping track of my time and then, I figured out if there are some activities which are not required and I removed them.

Success Mantra: The first step is the most difficult for everyone, from where did you get the right advice?
Kamlesh: I joined a regular classroom program course with Success Mantra. So, I did get a basic idea about the syllabus, about subjects that I needed to read. The new thing that I understood something called ‘time management’ on which I have to work for my first day of preparations.

Success Mantra: What was your approach towards subjects General Studies and Aptitude ability during DU LLB examination preparation?
Kamlesh: For General Studies, I had an integrated approach since beginning and three months before my entrance, I devoted all my time and energy on my classroom notes and monthly magazine provided by our institute, only which perform a great role for my DU LLB entrance exam.
I started attempting previous year question papers, joined test series of Success Mantra and this practice got me to know how to attempt the MCQs questions.
For Aptitude Test, it was more of a practice that helped me. I do all the daily worksheet of mathematics provided by Success Mantra.

Success Mantra: How did you manage to tackle the \'Negative Marking\' in DU LLB?
Kamlesh: It has been a big issue for me. I did make lots of mistakes and suffered due to negative marking while practicing.
During the last phase, I just chopped out the questions that looked alien to me. I tried to analyze my mistakes that either it is a gap in knowledge or application. I just analyzed my mistakes and specifically worked on this area.

Success Mantra: Were you preparing for other career opportunities as well while preparing for your ultimate goal i.e., Career in Law?
