Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) is a 3 years undergraduate program (divided in 6 semesters) in Computer Applications. Difference between BCA & B.Sc. in Computer Science?

There is not much difference between BCA and B.Sc. in Computer Science except that the former is more professionally inclined. BCA, as a course, seeks to bridge 10 the gap between business and technology. In BCA, focus is on the technological aspect of computer applications. Eligibility

Appearing/ Passed Class of 10+2 of CBSE or equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate* with pass in English (core or elective or functional). Mathematics or (Computer Science / Informatics Practice / Computer Applications / Multimedia & Web Technology / Data Management Application / Web Application as compulsory subject of non-vocational stream with 70 theory and 30 practical ratio).

Three year Diploma in a branch of Engineering from a polytechnic duly approved by All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to a recognized examining body with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.

  • Mode of examination - Offline
  • Total Questions - 150
  • Maximum Marks - 600 Marks
  • Duration of the examination - 2 Hours 30 minutes or 150 minutes.
  • Types of Questions - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
  • Each correct answer carries four marks. For any wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted.
