Admission & Selection Process
The candidate needs to register online on the website and
make the online payment for the complete process.
The selection process involves three steps/ stages:
1. Appearing for the Online Profile Assessment Test
(OPAT)
The electronic profiling assessment test will be sent to the
registered email address. The candidate needs to complete the test and then
read through the assessment report.
2. Writing Statement of Purpose (SOP)
The candidate is expected to write a 1500 words Statement of
Purpose (SOP), describing how IHM-A would play an important role in shaping
his/her future by creating a vibrant personality and help him/her to succeed in
the hospitality world.
3. Personal Interview & Group Discussion
The personal interview will focus on the following five
areas:

Factors
It will be conducted at any of these locations at a Taj
Group Hotel in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai and at the Institute in
Aurangabad. The candidates need to be present in the formal attire for the GD
& PI:
- Females - Saris
or business suits preferred - formal ensembles or a full sleeved shirt,
scarves and formal shoes.
- Males - Suit,
jacket or blazer preferred - formal trousers, full sleeved shirt, neck tie

The final selection is based on: Electronic Profiling +

3. What is NCHMCT JEE?
National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Examination or NCHMCT JEE is a national-level entrance exam conducted to offer admission to aspirants in hospitality and hotel administration programmers. Till 2018, National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, conducted NCHMCT JEE exam. However, from 2019 onwards, NTA started conducting NCHM JEE exam.
4. Who will conduct NCHMCT JEE 2021?
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct NCHMCT JEE 2024 exam.
5. In which mode will NCHMCT JEE be conducted?
NCHMCT JEE 2024 will be conducted in online mode as a computer-based test (CBT). Till 2018, NCHMCT JEE was held in offline mode.

The upper age limit for General and OBC students is 22 years as on July 1, 2020. Aspirants born on or after July 01, 1998 are eligible. For applicants from Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe categories, the upper age limit is 25 years. SC/ST candidates born on or after July 1, 1995 are eligible. Upper age limit for students having Physically Disabilities will be calculated as per the category he/she belongs to i.e. General/SC/ST/OBC.
